If you had an iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus you might be able to get some money now.
A few years ago people said the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus had problems with the audio chip. This made it hard to use the phone for calls and other audio functions. In 2019 a lawsuit was filed against Apple because of this problem. The lawsuit was called “Tabak, et al. v. Apple Inc.” It was filed in a court in California. The iPhone 7 was the first iPhone without an audio jack.
In May 2023 Apple agreed to pay $35 million to settle the lawsuit. Before this Apple said the phones did not have any problems.
If you had an iPhone 7 or 7 Plus between September 16, 2016 and January 3, 2023 and had audio problems you might get up to $349 from this settlement.
To get this money you must be a citizen of the United States. You also need to have told Apple about the audio problems with your phone during the allowed time.
You can also get money if you paid Apple to fix or replace your phone because of these audio problems. If you paid for repairs or replacements you can get at least $50 and up to $349. If you just told Apple about the audio problems you can get up to $125.
