Apple is launching a foldable MacBook

Must read

Apple is planning to release a foldable MacBook after announcing a foldable iPhone.

Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicts that a foldable MacBook with an 18.8-inch or 20.2-inch screen could be released in 2026 according to Techopedia.

The foldable MacBook might have a virtual keyboard with an all-screen design. The details of the design are not confirmed yet. However the 18.8-inch MacBook when folded would be similar in size to a 13- or 14-inch laptop.

Apple aims to create a foldable screen that looks seamless. Kuo thinks this could make the price similar to Apple’s Vision Pro headset which costs $3,500. Kuo also mentions that the foldable MacBook is expected to have the M5 chip, a processor that Apple is developing.

Display expert Ross Young believes the foldable MacBook will have an 18.76-inch screen instead of a 20.25-inch one due to cost concerns. Kuo and an article from Uber Media on X suggest it could have a 20-inch screen. Young shared his thoughts in a post that only subscribed X users can see.
