Chinese Government officials have shared their serious concern regarding the security of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). A senior Chinese official warned that there is a serious need of better security and a supportive business and media environment if Pakistan wants to ensure the success of CEPC project.
It should be noted that in 5 years of CPEC this is the first meeting held by China with Pakistan regarding their concerns about the security and progress of CPEC. Chinese Official Liu highlighted that attacks on Chinese projects by militants have lost the confidence of Chinese investors.
