Taipei, June 2 (CNA) – Computex 2024 will be held in Taipei from June 4-7. The theme this year is “Connecting AI.” You will see AI servers, edge AI PCs and many new AI applications and solutions.
A company called Gartner predicts that global spending on IT will reach $5.06 trillion in 2024. This is 8% more than in 2023. They think IT spending will go over $8 trillion by the end of the decade. This increase is because companies want to add generative AI (GenAI) to their products and services.
Paul Peng chairman of the Taiwan Computer Association (TCA) said Taiwan is ready to grow in the AI industry because it has a strong ICT supply chain.
Computex 2024 will have about 1,500 exhibitors from 36 countries and regions with 4,500 booths. This is a big increase from 2023 when there were 1,000 exhibitors and 3,000 booths. Attendance is also back to pre-COVID-19 levels.
Three Highlights of COMPUTEX 2024:

- Computex will showcase these edge AI devices.
- At the Microsoft Build 2024 conference in May, new “Windows PCs designed for AI, Copilot+ PCs” were announced with support from Intel, Arm and Qualcomm and six PC makers: Acer, ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo and Samsung.
