DG ISPR Major General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry has been promoted to lieutenant General Rank. Lt Gen Chaudhry will continue to perform his duties as DG ISPR as well. There are total three promotions happened in Pakistan Army recently. Major General Omar Bukhari and Major General Inayat Hussain has also been promoted to the rank of Lieutenant General.
Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir has appointed newly promoted officers to the posts. After these promotions Gen Chaudhry will continue to perform his duties as DG ISPR but Gen Omar and Gen Hussain will serve as commander 11 corps and chief of logistic services respectively.
