First Machine for Head Transplants REVEALED

Must read

A bioengineering company has announced a new project to develop a “head transplant system” which would be the first in the world.

A surprising video shows how a patient’s brain and spinal cord could be moved to a new body using robots and artificial intelligence (AI).

The company, BrainBridge, says the prototype could be ready in just eight years.

BrainBridge believes that if the brain stays healthy, people could live much longer because the rest of the body would be young.

However, some experts told MailOnline that this idea is like a “bad joke” and “science fiction.” They say it is a “gross oversimplification of how the brain works.”

In 2016 the European Association of Neurosurgical Societies said human head transplants were unethical. The committee can give advice to neurosurgeons but it cannot stop the surgery from happening.

At that time, they said there would be many dangers, including the risk of death, if a head transplant were performed.

“There is no solid evidence base for all steps of the procedure; for some, there is even lack of proof of concept,” the committee added.
