On Wednesday in Pakistan the price of gold kept going down. Now the cost of gold that is 24-karat pure is Rs239,200 for one tola after falling by Rs800.
The price for 10 grams of the same pure gold also went down by Rs686 making it Rs205,075 now. Similarly 10 grams of 22-karat gold which is a bit less pure, now costs Rs187,986.
These price changes are happening because of changes in the value of the US Dollar. This shows that what happens in the world economy can affect gold prices in Pakistan.
The price of silver which is also measured like gold, did not change and remains at Rs2,620 for 24-karat silver.
Globally the price of gold also dropped a little by $5 and is now $2,312 for each ounce.
