ICC Grants India a Major Boost in T20 World Cup 2024

Must read

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has given India’s cricket team a good time for their possible semi-final match in the upcoming T20 World Cup.

The tournament starts on June 1st and is happening in the United States and West Indies. India is in Group A with Pakistan and they will play matches to try to reach the knockout stage.

If Rohit Sharma’s team gets to the semi-finals they all play the second match in Providence, Guyana. This is important because the timings for the two semi-finals are very different.

The first semi-final, in Tarouba, Trinidad starts at 8:30 PM local time which is 6:00 AM in India. This time might be hard for Indian fans who want to watch the game.

But the second semi-final where India might play, is at a better time: 10:30 AM local time which is 8:00 PM in India. This is a good time for fans to watch the game comfortably.

The World Cup final is on June 29th starting at 10:00 AM local time (7:30 PM IST). The second semi-final won’t have an extra day if there are delays. But the first semi-final and the final have extra days in case something unexpected happens.

In the knockout matches each team must play at least ten overs for there to be a winner. And if the team batting second does not get to play at least five overs because of delays they might still have a chance to win.

With 55 matches in nine places in the West Indies and the US cricket fans are going to have an exciting month. The tournament will be amazing and India having a good semi-final time makes it even more interesting.
