Recently a study has been published in the Journal Nature Communications. The study claims that longer stays on Mars can affect the health and functions of Kidneys. In this study approximately 40 missions to space were analyzed including humans and mice.
Results of the study showed contraction in several parts of the lungs which is due to certain conditions in space. These changes in structure of Kidneys were observed in less than a month of stay in the space. In this regard scientists believe that astronauts have to take serious measures to avoid harms to their organs.
