Major Glitches Hit Microsoft’s Bing, Copilot, and ChatGPT Services

Must read

Microsoft, the tech giant founded by Bill Gates, reportedly experienced a significant blackout affecting its Bing search engine, AI-powered chatbot services, and Copilot, according to ZDNet.

On Thursday, users reported that Microsoft’s Bing search engine was down, while others noted slow performance issues with Copilot and ChatGPT services. This disruption comes despite Microsoft’s substantial investment in AI, including its collaboration with OpenAI, aimed at enhancing user experience.

The outage also impacted DuckDuckGo, a private search engine that utilizes the Bing API, though it is not owned by Microsoft.

In a post on X, Microsoft stated it is “working to isolate the cause of the issue.” OpenAI also acknowledged the problem on its status page, noting that “ChatGPT’s ability to search the internet is being affected.”

Despite these reports, some users found that Bing, along with Copilot and ChatGPT, were operating without interruption. The situation remains under investigation as both companies strive to resolve the issues.
