Today is Mark Zuckerberg’s 40th birthday and there are rumors he might be celebrating on his new large yacht called Launchpad.
A few days ago this yacht, valued at $300 million and a smaller $30 million support vessel named “Wingman” left Florida and headed south. They switched off their tracking systems which normally show their location.
Both ships arrived in Panama on Monday just before Zuckerberg’s birthday according to ship-tracking websites. Business Insider also reported that Zuckerberg’s private jet landed in Panama on the same day.
It’s not confirmed if Zuckerberg actually owns the yacht because Feadship, the company that built it, does not disclose private information. However many signs suggest it belongs to him and that he might be spending his birthday on it.
Photos on SuperYacht Times, a yachting website show that Launchpad has a helicopter pad and a swimming pool on its main deck. Business Insider reports that this large yacht can accommodate many guests and crew members. It has a large gym, a spa, a movie room and a garage big enough for several vehicles.
Zuckerberg was first linked to the Launchpad in December after visiting the shipyard in the Netherlands where it was built. In March yacht bloggers mentioned that he officially acquired the yacht which flies the flag of the Marshall Islands, a place where many Americans register their boats.
