SPARCO confirmed that Pakistan has launched its second communication satellite named Paksat-MM1 into space today. Paksat-MM1 is launched from China’s Shichang Satellite Center, and as per reports the five-tonne satellite is equipped with state-of-the-art communication equipment.
With launch of Paksat-MM1 it is expected that fastest internet facility will be provided to the most of the areas of Pakistan. This communication satellite will be inserted into space at a height of 36000km from the earth. It will take three to four days satellite to reach at its targeted position in space and will play an important role in promoting e-commerce-governance and economic activities for Pakistan.
