Pakistan to send up a new satellite to better its communication

Pakistan is making significant improvements to its internet and communication systems. The country has announced its plan to launch a new satellite called MM1 into space on May 30. This information comes from Pakistan’s space agency, Suparco. The launch will take place in Islamabad.

The main purpose of the MM1 satellite is to enhance Pakistan’s communication capabilities. It aims to establish a strong communication network that can support the increasing demands of the telecom sector. This development is crucial as more people are using the internet and Pakistan is preparing to introduce 5G technology. The MM1 satellite will help provide faster and more reliable internet service across the country.

On May 3, Pakistan entered the international space race by launching its first mission to the moon. This mission was supported by China and took off from China’s Hainan Space Site. The moon satellite which weighs about 7kg was created in Islamabad by the Electrical Engineering Department of the Institute of Space Technology. It took two years to develop.

This satellite was part of China’s Chang’e 6 mission to the moon. By participating in this mission, Pakistan became the sixth country in the world to send a mission to the moon.

Recently the iCube Qamar satellite launched by Suparco, achieved a milestone by sending back its first images from the moon’s orbit. These images provide a unique view of the moon’s surface.
