PMDC: NOC will be Mandatory for Medical Education Abroad from Session 2024

The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has decided to impose No Objection Certificate (NOC) requirement for pursuing medical education abroad. PMDC has made NOC availability mandatory for those students who wish to go abroad for completing their medical education like MBBS.

It is important to note that from Session 2024 to onwards Medical students have to get NOC from PMDC in order to continue their medical education from outside Pakistan. It is reported that every year more than 3000 medical students from Pakistan go abroad for completing their medical education and among this number 30% are female medical students.

Official say there is no or very less consumption of these students in Pakistan. As per data Most of Pakistani medica students prefer to go China for medical education, Central Asian States and Afghanistan as well. As per reports government has taken this step to protect Pakistani medical students from substandard international universities.
