Rohit Sharma, the captain of the Indian cricket team really wants to have more cricket matches between India and Pakistan. He says these games are very exciting and full of passion.
Even though there are political problems between the two countries, Sharma talked about how important the cricket rivalry is. He shared his thoughts on a show at Dubai Eye.
Sharma said “As a cricketer, I want to play cricket. I enjoy being challenged and the Pakistan team offers just that with their strong young fast bowlers and impressive batting lineup. Overall they are a very good team.”
He also mentioned that India-Pakistan matches are special. “An India-Pakistan match is different. People love it more than any other game and fans eagerly wait to see us play. It’s a great match and something that both teams look forward to” Sharma said.
Sharma talked about the global fan base, especially Pakistani fans. He shared “Messages from Pakistani fans are heartwarming. They love cricket passionately. When we are in England these fans often approach us with great respect expressing their admiration for Indian cricketers. It’s always wonderful to hear.”
Sharma’s comments show that cricket can bring people together and help them connect through their love of the game.
